The Treatment
Deep Tissue Sports Massage is a therapeutic treatment of the soft tissue that incorporates varies massage techniques aimed at the deeper structures of the muscle and fascia. It will include neuromuscular techniques and stretches as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension or "knots", also known as Trigger Points.
Despite the name, Deep Tissue Massage does not require massive pressure and Sports Massage is not just geared for the athletes or sports people. Everyone who has muscular pain, discomfort, muscle knots, old injuries or just feeling inflexible will benefit.
The aim is to relieve (muscular) pain and tightness in the body. Conditions that respond specifically well to our massage treatments include: headaches, upper and lower back pain, sciatica, tennis elbow, joint pains, general muscle aches and more. Help with recovery from injuries or support for sports people in training for events.
The treatment is varied depending on your individual needs: if you want to reduce pain, if you are in need of more range of motion or if you need a recovery treatment post event- pressure, stretching, trigger points therapy will be adjusted to your comfort level and your goal for the treatment.
